Body Wash
An Easy Add-On to Your Candles!
Unless you're the type of person who loves soaking in a tub, body wash is most likely your choice of body cleanser. Bath and body shower gel is one of those products that everyone uses, but no-one really thinks much about.
So why should you think about body wash as a home candle business owner? For one thing, it's a fairly easy product to make if you prefer to produce all your own products. There are lots of additives and botanicals you can add to it to really make it a signature product for your bath and body line.
If you buy your products at wholesale and resell them, there are many options available. Small, home-based businesses will gladly sell their bath and body products at wholesale to you, and as with candles, there are also options for private labeling. Some of these companies will even work with you to develop your own particular signature scent line, making these products truly "yours."
If you're looking for top-quality body wash, as well as other bath and body products and accessories to sell, I highly recommend Bath-and-Body.com's Shower Gel and other products.
They are very well-known in the industry, and have high brand recognition. They sell wholesale and also offer several options for private labeling.
They would be a wonderful company to use as your wholesale bath and body product suppliers.
Making Your Own
If you have the time, it's very satisfying to develop your own line of spa products. The ingredients are easily obtainable and there is a lot of room for customization by adding botanicals and/or essential oils. You can create different body washes for different purposes - for example revitalizing washes or relaxing washes. The possibilities are endless - you're only limited by your imagination! Click here if you'd like to see some body wash recipes you can make.
You can use either fragrance oils or essential oils to fragrance your spa products. It's very satisfying to sell a "signature scent" that you've developed yourself and have your customers tell you how much they love it. Just make sure when you're using your fragrance oils that they're labeled "skin safe" or "lotion safe." You can't use the same type of fragrance oils in your body wash that you use for your candles. But what's fun is developing a line of candles and bath and body products in a particular scent - seasonal ones are always popular! This can be done because very often the same scent is available for both candles and in a "skin safe" version.
Adding high quality spa products to your gourmet candle line is easy to do, whether you make your own or buy them at wholesale. Your customers will love your new offerings and you can enjoy the new income stream.
