Candles are a consumable item - something that people use and then purchase again and again. In a recent poll, 96% of women buyers said that they had purchased a scented candle within the last twelve months. That is a powerful statistic - candles are a product that almost everyone is already buying.
A major benefit to candle fundraising is that you'll most likely have great sales. People feel good about contributing to a great cause, and will often buy multiple candles when it's their family and friends doing the selling. You'll feel good for helping worthy organizations

Though if your primary wholesale company is small, you may need to give them some advance notice that you'll have a large order coming in!
A great advantage of selling your candles this way is that you very often will generate repeat orders and loyal customers. By running a candle fund raiser, you'll have many more times the selling power and will be getting your candles into the hands (and noses!) of many more happy customers. Getting phone calls and emails from people who've purchased your candles during a fundraiser is an added bonus - happy customers that come to you, with no effort on your part!
