A Craft Show Checklist
Save Yourself Time and Headaches!
If you've ever set up at a craft show hours from home only to realize you've forgotten something important, you realize the value of a craft show checklist.
This checklist is not something scribbled down on an old napkin - this is a typed or written-out checklist that you can photocopy and easily add to or delete from as your business changes.
Even if you're not a list-making type of person, I urge you to try this for your craft business. There is so much "stuff" that you need at a craft show that it's almost impossible to remember it all. The time and peace of mind that a craft show checklist will provide is invaluable.
You're way too busy running your candle business - making candles, placing labels, testing new scents, etc. - to waste valuable time and energy trying to remember all the things you need to pack and jobs you need to accomplish to get ready for your next show. Just think of what good use all that time and energy could be spent for!
Save Time Getting Ready for Your Next Craft Show
Another great timesaver that goes hand-in-hand with a craft show checklist is having special craft show supplies that you use ONLY for your craft shows. For example, instead of running around your office grabbing your stapler and calculator to pack for every show, purchase items like these specially for shows. Pack them all into a dedicated box or bin and you're all set, every time for every show. Plus it's that much less you'll have to unpack after the show.
Another useful tip is to seal your packed boxes before you leave the show. Everything will be ready and in place for the next one. If you have to do any re-packing, or if you remove anything from one of your boxes, use your craft show checklist to make note and then leave it unsealed until you replace the item. If you're planning for your next show and see an unsealed box, you'll know it's not ready - your checklist should tell you what's missing.
Make sure to have one of your boxes labeled as your "Office Supply" box. In here you'll keep your catalogs, business cards, paper towels, tape, staples, etc. Get in the habit of replenishing this as soon as you get home from a show and then seal it.
So, here's my craft show checklist - if you've got a great suggestion here that I'm missing, please contact me and let me know. It might get added to the list!
